TESTIMONIALS

I have always enjoyed your teaching methodology – you always carefully explain and demonstrate modifications for those who may have injuries or limitations. I always feel more energetic after participating in your Pilates classes. A great start to my day.  Thank you.

I have exercised my whole life since I was a teenager and trends have certainly changed with time. What I really appreciate about Pilates is that it seems to work for all of us regardless of age or ability. Since starting Pilates a year ago, I feel that my lower back is stronger, my core is strong, I think about my posture more frequently and I always have fun. You’re an inspiring instructor because you provide modifications for all levels, challenges for those who would like some and you’re a positive leader every time.  Thank you for leading the way with such passion!

I have really enjoyed Sue’s Pilates classes over the last year. They have helped keep me sane during COVID, improved my flexibility and muscle strength and stabilized a hip problem. I have lost weight, gained energy and generally improved my overall wellness feeling. There is always variation in the classes and her professional and caring manner allows everyone to enjoy the classes and feel invigorated after a class.

Learning Pilates from a proper Pilates instructor makes all the difference.  I started doing Pilates about 8 years ago and it has had such a positive impact on my physical body.  It is the perfect exercise to lengthen and tone muscles and loosen tight bodies.  Sue is an excellent instructor who gives great instructions and offers modifiers to make the class appropriate for all abilities.  We love having her teach in our club and to our members via Zoom during this pandemic.  Definitely worth trying”.

I can say that I feel I have gained strength in my glutes, hamstrings, and abs and feel much better equipped to function day to day. I am more conscious of proper bone health now and know not to round my back, how to bend over properly, and pick things up in order to protect my aging spine.  I appreciate the reminders about keeping our head down during certain exercises and when and how to modify based on my health. With limitations due to COVID I am so pleased to have something each morning to look forward to and your friendly and capable leadership is valued by us all.  You are extremely positive and I laugh often at your funny and timely little asides. Plus I feel so comfortable speaking with you about my health and what might be requiring some attention and inevitably you come up with exercises that address those concerns. You are excellent at Pilates instruction and your knowledge is very extensive.  Plus you can tell that you love it and thrive on learning more.

Pilates has improved my core strength and flexibility (as a very inflexible guy!). I enjoyed the live classes and am enjoying the virtual ones as well. I’ve worked out regularly at gyms for 40 years; that is gone with COVID but Pilates is now a regular part of my weekly routine.

I have been fortunate to have Sue as my Pilates instructor for around 18 months.  I began with issues with my neck, back, hip flexors and a lack of overall strength.  During this time, Sue has transformed my body with her expert instruction, and dramatically increased my flexibility and made me much stronger.  Her classes are wonderful and she adapts the exercises to the individual’s requirements.  She constantly changes up the classes to keep us progressing and improving. At the beginning, I struggled to do a proper roll-up and Sue has diligently worked with me, offering various strategies which has enabled me to improve. She always finds time to answer our questions and is an expert on the aging body and how to exercise in a safe manner. Being in my 60’s and feeling somewhat fit from years of walking, I had no idea that my body could become so much stronger and so much more flexible.  My balance has improved as well as my endurance and my mind/body coordination is so much better too.  It is such a pleasure to get up in the morning and look forward to Sue’s classes and see her smiling face.  She always lifts us up and it truly is the best way to start the day. I can’t imagine what this year would have been like without Live Fit Pilates and the hard work Sue has put in to truly change and improve our bodies and minds.

Live Fit Pilates instructor Sue Petkovsek is a truly remarkable woman and an amazing teacher of Pilates. I cannot tell how much I look forward to waking up every day and starting my day with Sue and her Pilates instruction. She makes the teaching and the exercises very enjoyable and keeps encouraging you to better yourself each time. She has helped my flexibility and my hip strength which was really important for me. It gives me great purpose and encouragement to keep fit, keep flexible and enjoy life to its fullest. Having a bad hip that requires surgery, Sue has managed to keep that at bay for well over a year and I cannot thank her enough. I feel fitter, stronger and healthier thanks to Sue and her Pilates.

Pilates with Sue is a bright spot in my day! Sue is always upbeat, encouraging and knowledgeable about Pilates and fitness in general. Because Sue is always learning and building on her Pilates knowledge, she’s able to keep our sessions interesting and varied. At the end of a class I’m always glad I’ve invested in my own health and mobility. I can see the changes and strength I’ve gained while attending Sue’s classes. In addition, it’s a great community of people who have helped to keep me connected during this isolating time. Thanks Sue for being our fearless leader! See you on the mat!

It is incredible how much better my knees are after 2 sessions of Pilates. Sunday, I could only go down the stairs one at a time, it was so painful. Today, Wednesday, I can go up and down the stairs normally, with only a minimal amount of pain.

I have always felt like an outsider or I must have had some kind of imposter syndrome when it came to Pilates.  I thought it was always going to be that way, and it was until I met Sue.  I was introduced to her by my personal trainer who was seeing my hip arthritis and lack of flexibility impact my workouts with her in the gym.  I was nervous to meet Sue, but the minute she introduced herself, I knew she was going to be the reason I felt better about my body and how I viewed the work you do on the mat.  Sue is patient, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable.  She helped me proceed through the class with her expert guidance and a warm smile.  Honestly, I not only have changed my perspective about being an outsider to Pilates but also how I approach my limitations with loving-kindness.  If you are reading thinking to yourself “I can’t do Pilates”, think again-you’re in great hands…and will be in great shape!
